We welcome you to join us for another yearly workshop on Herbal Medicine Making. This is an in-depth study on the medicinal properties of herbs, and the practices of how to turn them into mountain medicinals. We will cover tinctures, bitters, herbal infused oils, salves, ointments, infusions and decoctions, herbal vinegars, food as medicine, herbal first aide, essential oils, salts and soaks, compresses and much more. There will be at least one off site plant walk, and all of your materials that you will need to produce small batches of these items in class will be provided. Of course, when you make items at home, you will need to stock up on the necessary equipment for yourself. We recommend that you obtain a 3 ring binder as your paperwork will be sent to you via email a week before each class begins so you may look over the course material. We hope this training workshop will open the door to some of the mysteries of herbal medicine making and allow you to further explore the magic of plants.
**Please Note: This year's course is set up a little differently. Instead of a 6 month program with 3 hours per class, we will be dedicating an entire day to our studies. We will have 4 meetings each lasting 7 hours. These long days will be on a Saturday so we may have a full day within the orchard to work. Plant walks will be included during these hours.
A payment plan is available with a card on file. Please contact us should you choose to go this route.
